About Us – JNTEF

Jawaharlal Nehru Technical Education Foundation (JNTEF) was established under Act 1882, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. According to the Government of India National Education Policy 1986, JNTEF is one of the best autonomous organizations and also under Human Rights Protection, autonomous bodies having given special protection and consideration.

JNTEF aims to support unemployed and semi-skilled people by helping them acquire suitable skills based on their educational background and job market requirements.

Apart from our regular programs, JNTEF is also a training partner of National Skill Development Corporation to implement sponsored programs for the development of skills. It strongly believes in and respects the vision of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who outlined the vision for Skill India through the National Skill Development Mission, asserting that the Government has declared a war on poverty and is determined to win it.

The Prime Minister said that each poor, underprivileged youth is a soldier in this mission.

JNTEF has designed non-UGC and non-AICTE Certificate and Diploma courses, which are specified job-oriented and self-entrepreneurship courses in the field of:

  • Hotel Management & Tourism
  • Aviation
  • Fashion & Interior Designing
  • Marketing Management
  • Pre-Primary Teacher Training
  • Agriculture
  • Health & Paramedical
  • Yoga
  • Vocational Courses
  • Non-AICTE Engineering Courses
    • Computer Science
    • Fire & Safety
    • Automobile
    • Civil
    • Mechanical
    • and other streams

These courses are specially designed to promote unemployed youth and semi-skilled people from both rural and urban areas who are already employed in their respective fields but have not received promotion due to lack of academic and professional skills.

In this case, JNTEF is taking the initiative to develop their skills by conducting training through workshops, seminars, and professional engagement programs.

Our JNTEF network centers create a special platform between students and various industries, institutions, and companies to provide practical exposure through:

  • Internships
  • On-job training
  • Industrial training

Apart from technical skills, we also provide life skills, which play a key role in their individual life irrespective of age, sex, caste, or territory.

Academic Standards

JNTEF has prepared a challenging and skill-based curriculum for various courses.

The curriculum is in accordance with the Modular Employable Skills (MES) framework of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) so that interested candidates can opt for certification through NCVT simultaneously.

This curriculum equips students with the required knowledge and skills.

As an autonomous body, each educational organization acts on its own discretionary powers. According to these powers, every board, university, state government, and central government of India has the liberty and right to take its own decision either to allow or refuse any admission or service.

But we do our best to make the non-formal education programme successful.

The entire education programme run by JNTEF is its own autonomous education programme.

The legality, validity, and utility of the education programme are in strict conformity with the Constitution of India and law of the land under Article 19(1)(G), 29 & 30.

Industry Integrated Education Programme (IIEP)

What is IIEP?

Industry Integrated Education Programme (IIEP) is a unique concept launched by JNTEF, wherein learning is seamlessly integrated with institution and industry.

The learning starts in any of the authorized training centers of JNTEF, whereas practical learning happens in the place of his / her work.

This adds more weightage to the course as the student attains:

  • Subject knowledge
  • Field knowledge
  • Practical knowledge

Advantages

Students who have studied through IIEP mode will have better knowledge, both theoretical as well as practical, so that they are better equipped to face the industry.

In India, we are best in imparting theoretical knowledge whereas there are many pitfalls when practical knowledge is imparted in regular mode.

We would like to resolve this and ensure that students are equipped in a better manner to face the world.

Students will have an edge over regular students due to their latest practical knowledge.

Difference Between Regular Education & IIEP Education

Regular Education IIEP Education
Regular education falls under conventional mode where education is imparted throughout the year IIEP education falls under non-formal education wherein the student learns in the institution and applies it in the industry
Full-time education Part-time education or education as required by the students
Required to complete industrial training / on-job training / apprenticeship as part of education Not required industrial training / on-job training / apprenticeship as part of education
Need to improve professional skills to get opportunities Better opportunities due to expert knowledge

Note: If IIEP mode students are required to submit proof of employee ID, experience letter, and recommendation letter from the respective organization.
